How an offer reaches this page

Cook’s is a family company with one office, and offers come from that office, not from a franchise marketing calendar. Jerry decides what to run based on what the season is doing to Clay County homes and what the Lennox factory is doing with its own promotions. An offer gets an end date, a plain description of what it covers and a note about what it doesn’t, and then it’s posted here and read out to anyone who calls.

The months Clay County tends to produce one

Late winter into spring. The oak and pine pollen that blankets Orange Park from February to May is also the window before the cooling season, so maintenance offers tend to appear then, aimed at getting coils cleaned before the first 90-degree day in late May.

Early fall. The first-generation systems in Oakleaf Plantation and Fleming Island Plantation are reaching the age where a hot September finishes them. Replacement offers often line up with manufacturer promotions in that stretch, and with the few weeks of mild weather when an install doesn’t have to be an emergency.

After a storm. When Black Creek floods or a lightning cluster goes through Middleburg, the priority is getting damaged homes running again rather than discounting them. If an offer is tied to a weather event, it will say so.

What never changes, discount or not

No offer alters the things that are always true at Cook’s: the phone answered around the clock, no after-hours charge, free estimates on new systems, financing on high-efficiency equipment, a satisfaction guarantee and a technician who repairs whatever brand is already in your house. An offer is a reduction on top of those, never a condition for getting them.

How offers work here

If I'm on JEA, can I stack your offer with the utility rebate?

Usually, yes. A Cook’s offer is a discount on our invoice; a utility rebate is a payment from JEA or Clay Electric under their rules. They don’t cancel each other, but the rebate has its own eligibility and program window, so we check both before quoting.

Do offers apply out in Keystone Heights and Middleburg, or just in town?

They apply across the whole Clay County route. We don’t run separate pricing for the far end of the county.

Can an offer expire between the time I call and the time the truck comes?

No. The offer you’re quoted when you book is the one honored on the invoice, even if the route day falls after the printed end date.
